My Approach to Helping
We need people who are going to reopen our wounds. That’s the only way we heal them. We can’t heal by avoiding. We heal by going through, by reopening, by learning, by feeling the pain and transforming it with the people who will stand by us as we do You don’t have to be hopeful about the future. It’s enough just to be curious about what is coming.
Therapy isn’t a procedure performed upon one person by another. It’s a dialogue between personal universes, & it transforms both. The genesis of our work is with addressing the symptoms of trauma. Yes, those experiences of too much too soon or too little for too long “count” as trauma & became your inner voice. Critical rather than curious about your Self.
Due to different circumstances beyond your control (childhood) or consciousness, you may have forgotten your Self and that you matter. But if you, andor those close to you choose to team up with me in being curious rather than critical of your emotional reactiions, then you can all learn how to be attracted to what’s healthy, and I can be the last Therapist you see,

This process of participating in an examined life, can answer your lifelong pursuit to consistently feel comfortable with who you truly are. Together, we will help you reclaim your true Self.
My Therapy Focus
The genesis of our work is with addressing the symptoms of trauma. Yes, that thing(s) that happened to you as s child, and those words said and messages sent to you that became your inner voice ?counts? as trauma. Those experiences produced ways of coping that have been effective (until they aren?t) and which are the benchmarks or symptoms of complex trauma. I successfully treat such symptoms as drugalcohol abuse, anxiety, depression, infidelity and low Self worth.
SELF IN TRUTH
Once the symptoms have been treated long enough (of which you, me and your defenses will determine), your treatment will be focused on getting to the root of what you have been experiencing as unsatisfying, unsure or unknown to you. Our work together is an authentic relationship. It is this relationship, one in which trust has been established and boundaries taught and implemented that will help heal your trauma, in finding your lifelong pursuit of feeling comfortable with who you truly are. Together, we will help you reclaim your true Self.

In the ?end,? your symptoms consistently managed to the point of extinction, your Self prioritized and your feelings (and therefore you) valued, your therapy can terminate with revealing your purpose. Think of this phase of therapy not so much as the why are you here, but how will you get started? Unearthing your answer to the mystery of your existence is not only ?next level? therapy, it can actually be the point. Now that you have more accurate information about your Self, that's when the real work can begin! In accepting, implementing and mentoring others with the good that we know, feel and behave like we are. What seemed impossible or overwhelming in life can now be considered more consistently relieving because we know, feel and behave in ways that says to our Selves and others (in that order): "I matter."
LASTING A LIFETIME

Remembering who you are does take work. But just because it's work, doesn?t mean it has to feel labor intensive. Due to many different circumstances beyond your control in childhood, you may have forgotten your Self. But if you, your partner andor members of your family choose to team up with me in being courageous rather than critical of your emotional responses and can pause before your physical reactions; then you can each learn how to be attracted to what?s healthy, and I can be the last Therapist you see.
How My Own Struggles Made Me a Better Therapist
100% the truth! Because I too have my own therapsit, I am better equiped to gage specifically what can be done to finally answer those internal questions about your Self that you may have figured were unanswerable. I don't know what it's like to have been you, but like listening to our own voice recorded. We cannot be objective about our Selves. We need a mirror to reflect our own sense of how we are coming across to others. NOT what others think of us, but what we give them. We want to give our Selves to those who have earned the right. In my therapy, I have learned how to be attracted what's healthy, I am committed to helping you do the same. ESPECIALLY BLACK & BROWN MEN. We do not have the same permissions as others to be our true Selves. So many of us have become whom others need us to be in order to connect, or be seen or accepted and loved. NO MORE. Come in, I'll listen as you tell your Self how much you actually matter and how much you have to offer the world!
The Duration and Frequency of Therapy
You may not always feel better, but you will feel more! In the "end" with your symptoms consistently managed, your Self ...prioritized and your emotions (and therefore you) authenticity valued; your therapy can terminate by revealing your life's purpose.
Think of this phase of therapy not so much as the why are you here, but how will you get started. This time from a much more conscious or woke place!
Unearthing your answer to the mystery of your existence is not only next level therapy, but it can actually be the point of it. Now that you have more accurate information about your Self, that is when the REAL work can begin!
In accepting the reality that your growth is not the abandonment of others, you are also accepting the responsibility and ultimate truth about your life right now, in the present.
By implementing this reality for your Self and then mentoring others (in that order) with the cerebral knowledge, emotional understanding and visceral behaviors expressing what?s real. That Self Awareness is an a competitive advantage!
With your symptoms consistently managed, your Self prioritized and your emotiions (and therefore you) valued, your therapy can terminate with revealing to you your purpose.
Mentoring others with the truth, you will no longer be able to unring the bell that once hypnotized you into a false sense of insecurity.
What seemed impossible or overwhelming in life can now be considered a challenge toward more relief because you now know, feel and behave in ways that say to your Self and others (in THAT order) : I AM ENOUGH.
