My Approach to Helping
Most of my clients reach out because they recognize there is something interfering with their ability to function effectively and/or enjoy their daily life. They may or may not have insights into what the issues are, but they usually seek out therapy because they are not sure what to do. No one likes to feel depressed, anxious, stressed, or out of place all the time. My work is to help my clients gain clarity and develop the necessary skills so they can restore or improve their level of functioning and well-being.
I tailor my approach to each client's unique needs, utilizing a combination of CBT, DBT, and mindfulness interventions, when appropriate. I commonly help my clients explore themes of work-life balance, communication, managing conflicting expectations, cultural and generational differences, and assertiveness within the context of power differentials.
I strive to provide a supportive and non-judgmental space for my clients. My hope is that with the help of therapy, my clients can effectively manage or resolve the issues that impede their personal growth and emotional well-being.
