My Approach to Helping
I am a bicultural psychologist with experience helping people live better. I provide individual, couples, and family therapy to children, adults, and older adults. Whether you are feeling stuck or overwhelmed, one key factor to predict positive change is the trust you have with your therapist. My goal is to build a relationship based on trust. I utilize my cultural sensitivity to understand my clients' struggles. I have experience using mindfulness-based techniques, cognitive behavioral therapy, and insight oriented approaches. Together, we will create a treatment plan that is tailored to your needs.
I have experience treating individuals of different ages, cultures, and co-cultures, with anxiety, depression, life adjustment challenges, relationship and social skills challenges, school issues, low self-esteem, and trauma. I truly believe that we can profoundly better ourselves through the moments in our lives where we face challenges by defining how we will see the problem and take action, rather than letting the problem define how we see ourselves. I will work with you, as a member on your team, to help you live better.
