My Approach to Helping
You have health at your very core. My job is to help you find it. My major specializations are Anxiety, Grief, LGBT, and Parents of LGBT. I will teach you how to relax your nervous system, and we will look at the causes of emotional distress and how to best ease them. I use a variety of methods, including EMDR and EFT, to help release tensions, traumas, and upsets which, can cause a lot of anxiety and pain in the present. Many people believe there is something fundamentally wrong with them and when we are struggling, it can feel that way. But nothing could be further from the truth. At your core is health, balance, and joy!

Sessions are strictly confidential. Sessions by phone or internet may be available in certain cases. When seeking a psychotherapist, you will, of course, want someone who is qualified and ethical. But beyond that, you will want to know if the therapist has had success in working with your issue. Perhaps most importantly, you will look for a good "fit" between you and the therapist, someone you feel comfortable with and who will not judge you. How My Own Struggles Made Me a Better Therapist
Of course I have studied to obtain professional tools and methods to help people. But because I have gone through many life stages, I also relate to many people's issues. This means I am in no position to judge you, and I do not. It also means I have a certain understanding for what others are going through because of my own experience.
