My Approach to Helping
Due to COVID-19, I am currently only providing virtual video sessions.
I provide individuals, couples and family psychotherapy services.
I am a compassionate, client-focused social worker with over ten years of extensive experience working with diverse populations in providing services related to mental health, addictions, substance use, suicide, crisis intervention, clinical treatment, rehabilitation, and other supportive services. Over the years, I have successfully supported the unique needs of my clients from diverse communities and experiences with life and career transitions, family and relationship issues, self-esteem issues, stress, anxiety, and depression. As someone who identifies as Muslim, I also provide special faith-based therapy.
I have a master's degree in social work from the University of Toronto as well as an undergraduate degree in social work from Ryerson University. I also completed training in various therapeutic approaches such as Solution-Focused Therapy, Emotion-Focused Therapy, Narrative Therapy as well as Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy. I practice a holistic, person-centred approach based on meeting clients where they are and helping them reach their goals. My focus is to ensure a confidential and safe environment for my clients to take meaningful steps towards positive change.
