My Approach to Helping
I specialize in sex therapy with an emphasis on issues such as sexual trauma, sex addiction, body positivity, relationship and intimacy concerns (infidelity & betrayal) and sexual dysfunction. Due to my background working as a sexual assault advocate, my area of expertise is with clients who have experienced difficult or dysfunctional past sexual experiences and are looking to work toward integrating and reclaiming their sexual identities and pleasure in order to move toward healing and overall well- being.
Prior to becoming a therapist, I worked in the entertainment industry with C-Suite executives and A-list talent. I like to work with creative types and bring a unique understanding of the challenges of working within the “industry.” I love working with individuals who are struggling with career and life transitions, anxiety, and creative blocks.
As a 500-hour RYT certified yoga and meditation teacher, I also incorporate somatic and mindfulness exercises into my work with individuals and groups. My approach to change is to build upon the individual’s existing strengths while working toward healing and resiliency through a combination of mindfulness and collaborative relational processes.
