My Approach to Helping
If you are struggling to sustain a level of connection in your relationships that feels good to you, or you're troubled by self esteem issues, feeling depressed or anxious, I'd like to help. I have helped people ages 5 and up make and sustain improvements in their relationships, self-compassion, communication skills, emotion regulation, sense of meaning, mood, and coping skills.
Talking about it helps. Processing your thoughts, feelings, and experiences with someone who listens strategically helps you access your own inner resources for healing that lead to change. My goal with every person is to hold a process that amplifies your own inner strength.
I am an engaged, responsive, and collaborative therapist who will go at a pace you feel comfortable with and tailor therapeutic interventions to your specific needs. I embrace each individual's differences in my practice and the therapeutic approaches I take are based on my profound belief that each person has the tools within them to cope with even the most difficult things.
I am especially equipped to provide play therapy for kids, individual psychotherapy for teens and adults, couples counseling, and pre-marital counseling. I focus my practice on persons age 5 to approximately 35.
