As a working professional, a mother of 2 adult girls, and a wife of 34 years; I can offer both perspective and an empathic ear. I work with adults and young adults striving to find themselves and bring more meaning into their lives. I work with couples who are discovering they "really just have that 1 argument" over and over again. I work to help you both understand and overcome symptoms of depression, anxiety and the stress brought on by daily living and/or big life changes. I can provide the support needed to change habits, become more self-aware, make hard decisions, and finally live with more joy in your heart.
It takes courage to look at our wounds and misunderstandings and do the self-healing that is required to live the life of our dreams. Being able to understand ourselves, our triggers, and the reasons behind our deepest fears and desires will allow us to move forward in a healthy and productive way.
We all have something to overcome! Discover ways to cope with stress, anxiety, and mood swings. Determine how past experiences are affecting your responses to current issues. Overcome your barriers to a happier and less stressful life.
I believe it is within the safety of the therapeutic relationship that each and every one of us can begin to heal. Our behaviors (which are often brought out by particular others) can be wonderful trailheads to a deeper understanding of ourselves; our needs and our dreams. It is important to feel the right fit or connection with your therapist. It is an important and brave decision to begin the journey of therapy. Feel free to call me. It is my hope that we all take a step towards healing, that we all begin to discover the wonders that lie within.

More Info About My Practice

After receiving my Master's degree in Counseling, I began to travel the country and immerse myself in week-long trainings with some of the leading experts in the field. I spent a week learning the ins and outs of Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy. I traveled to Texas several times in a 2 years period learning the Internal Family Systems model of psychotherapy. I have been trained in EMDR and I am a certified Clinical Hypnotherapist. I believe these various trainings have taught me well. These trainings in addition to my life-long experience with Jungian psychotherapy have allowed me a deeper understanding of myself and the world. We cannot teach what we do not know!

How Psychotherapy Can Help

Sometimes we just need to talk things through with someone. Sometimes we just need to hear ourselves say the things we need to say. Speak our truth and tell another why we are on the journey we are on. Other times, we need to be heard and seen. We need to know that there is someone out there who can help us struggle with our demons and still see our humanness. We need to know that although our struggles are real, there will always be opportunities to overcome. These are the reasons I do this work. We have all experienced some form of Trauma. At times, we can all feel the stress of a divisive and oddly lonely world. But together we can begin a journey towards wholeness. We can find a way to live in which we are less defined by our weaknesses and a world that encourages our strengths.
