My Approach to Helping

My approach is collaborative, dialogical, and relationship-focused. My approach to Counselling, Supervision, and Mediation is informed by collaborative and narrative practices.
- Through our therapeutic conversations, we explore alternatives and resources to face and deal with life's challenges. Our conversations help restore hope and strengths that may have become inaccessible due to the presence of problems in one's life. We together work on what overshadows your life and prevents you from moving towards your preferred ways of being in a personal, relationship and social context. As a relational collaborative and narrative therapist, I listen attentively to your narrative as it unfolds, without judgement, and join you in exploring alternatives and co-creating solutions to your everyday challenges in life.
- In clinical supervision meetings, we talk about making sense of your clinical dilemma in working with clients. We look into possible alternative ways of helping and supporting you and your clients. These sessions will help you to see yourself with greater clarity and attend to clients' narratives in a compassionate, curious, and collaborative fashion. Clinical supervision is ONLY for therapists who are either in private or public settings and those who are interested in enhancing their quality of work, and those who are in the process of achieving their credentials either with the CRPO or the AAMFT.
- Mediation services are for couples, schools and workplaces where relationship stories clash. My approach to mediation is Narrative. I listen to your conflict story and together engage in the exploration of alternatives and solutions to bring about positive change to your interactions.

More Info About My Practice

Some insurance plans- including extended health benefits, workplace benefits, and health spending accounts- cover my services. Average cost per session ranges from $150 to $200 depending on the requested services.

What Makes up a Problem?

While people interact with one another, their stories clash and they may experience problems in their interactions. Problems are formed in interactions. So we together can de-construct and re-construct and find solutions to our problems. Our conversations will increase your personal-relational awareness and support you in doing your part in a more considerate way based on what you may define as principles. Our collaborative talk will shed light on what is important to you in life relationships and on how you can be supported to navigate your ways to what you desire in life.
