Hello, my name is Syeda Gilani (MC RP CCC), and I am a Registered Psychotherapist and Certified Canadian Counselor. I have a Masters Degree in Counselling Psychology. In my career, I have worked with individuals experiencing mental health, trauma (such as, but not limited to physical, sexual, emotional abuse, childhood sexual abuse, neglect, intimate partner violence, injury illness, occupational injury etc.), and as well as individuals dealing with issues such as, but not limited to grief, self-esteem, stress management, conflict resolution, life transitions, relationship problem. In treatment planning, I utilize interventions based on modalities such as Cognitive Behavior therapy, Dialectical Behavior therapy, Cognitive Processing therapy, Solution Focused therapy as well as mindful based approaches. I believe that therapy is a collaborative partnership. Therefore, I use client centered approach to collaborate with clients and help them identify and attain these meaningful goals. I provide non-judgmental and supportive space to clients, meet with them where they are at, and facilitate them to attain their goals. I offer in-person, video and phone counselling.
