My Approach to Helping
For over 20 years, I have counseled individuals, couples and families on relationships, career, health and life transitions. I am a relational psychotherapist and coach, licensed in New York. I am a graduate of Columbia University School of Social Work and received my postgraduate training in Couples and Family Therapy from Ackerman Institute for the Family. I am a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional and received my EMDR training from the EMDR Institute. In addition, I am an Advisor and Lecturer at Columbia University. I do not have an office based in New York. I provide virtual therapy only for clients in New York. I am a good match for professionals who are comfortable with virtual therapy and are interested in therapy from home or anywhere. My practice is made up of diverse clients from various sectors which includes healthcare, arts and entertainment, finance and tech, education, and the sports industry. Clients privacy kept secure.
My area of specialty is in health psychology and its impact on individuals, couples and on families. I have worked with individuals and families coping with cancer, lupus, autoimmune disorders, chronic and terminal illnesses, chronic pain, grief and loss. My approach is psychodynamic and relational focused on health and wellness. Additionally, I enjoy working with young professionals and those in mid-life needing focused career coaching and support with performance.
I have a warm, engaging style and my approach is collaborative, practical and straight forward. I provide frank feedback and appreciate the same from my clients in our work. My goal is to listen and allow a supportive and safe space for you to have meaningful insights about your past, present and future. Ultimately, leading to healing, change and choices.
