What would it mean to be deeply listened to, without judgment? What would it mean to feel accepted in a way that you feel you can dare explore issues that you feel stuck about? I believe these are two of the most important experiences that help us become alive to ourselves and to others, that help us find the confidence to dare to be, and listen to, our true authentic selves. As a therapist, I believe that having this experience is important to feeling safe enough to do the important work of therapy and your journey of healing. Regardless of whether you are an adult, child/adolescent, or parent of a child in therapy, this is my goal for every encounter I have with you as a therapist.

More Info About My Practice

Sessions with me involve talking about what is hard in your life etc., but sessions may also involve expressive art or working in the sandtray which helps tap into nonverbal modes of emotional processing, healing and self-discovery.

My work with children will involve parents/caregivers, particularly during the initial phase of therapy (where we get to know each other). Depending on the nature of the presenting issues, goals of therapy and relationships within the family system, sessions may involve parents/caregivers working with the child, or involve others who have significant relationships with the child (e.g., siblings, relatives).
