My Approach to Helping
Counseling, therapy, healing, and or coaching is based upon an individual or a couples need or desire to improve one's life in a number of ways and means.
The relationship that you as a prospective client holds with the therapist or counselor is of the utmost importance to me. If I as a counselor cannot empathize, with you and or not hear your deepest call, for healing, support or guidance our work together will not proceed.
Thus I make the most important first step, to be able to listen to what is that you desire and want and create together the environment that will support you for your highest good.

Why Going to Therapy Does Not Mean You are Weak or Flawed
Counseling or therapy is often conceived of or thought of as meaning one has serious issues to deal with and one needs to find someone who is skilled in dealing with your "Problems"
When we think we have an issues or a challenge the pressure on us seems more then ever to make the problem worse, does is not? After all when we think we cannot solve a problem on our own, many of us certainly feel alone, weak, less than, and quick to judge our selves for thinking there is "Something wrong" with us.
My approach to counseling takes the view that there is nothing wrong with the client, outside of the thoughts that seem to make him or here feel like there is something wrong, When we discover that our reactions to feelings were mis guided by poor or less than accurate information, there is immediate feeling or sense of, "Wow, it was not as bad as what i thought it was", or " You mean there are other choices than the ones I am used to making."
Counseling can come with many negative interpretations that are not applicable. Learning to understand that is learn to observe our reactions by inquiry about their sources will help free you from long standing issues.
It does not have to be hard, in fact it is an opportunity once you are willing to be open.
