My Approach to Helping

I am a licensed marriage and family therapist who has devoted most of my experience to working with adolescents and their families supporting the transition from childhood to young adulthood for both parents and teens.

I also work extensively with couples, both in supporting the parental relationship as well as strengthening parenting skills, as I have found that with the mounting stress in today's society, a strong home foundation improves the whole system.

I have worked extensively with youth and their families in group home and school settings, as well as in private practice.

My therapeutic style tends to be more interactive, using both Brief Therapy techniques as well as Cognitive Behavioral skills.

I was a member of the MRI Brief Therapy Center in Palo Alto, CA, and was Founder and Director of PACTS, an at-risk youth and family clinic that utilizes the Brief Therapy model to provide therapeutic counseling to families facing ongoing risk factors in their communities.
