My Approach to Helping
As a counselor, I work to provide interventions that alleviate immediate symptoms such as sadness, grief, or anxiety and also facilitate greater self-understanding. My primary goal is to provide you with a safe space where you feel like you can be your authentic self. My approach assists you to find and focus on your strengths and find solutions to recreate life balance. I teach practical tools and strategies so you can create more hope and purpose in your life. I believe in your ability to change and grow with support and guidance. You can learn how to better manage your emotions and life through self-awareness and managing your thoughts.
I have 25 years of experience in the mental health field working as a cognitive-behavioral therapist for children, adolescents and adults. I am a Nationally certified clinical counselor and state licensed professional counselor.
