My Approach to Helping
The relationship between you and your therapist is essential to your progress and ultimate success in therapy. No one therapist is right for everyone so this means that it is important to find one that is right for you. I hope the information provided will support you in making your decision.
I have an eclectic approach to therapy, utilizing various modalities of therapy including psychodynamic, CBT and solution-focused/skill building therapies. My work is collaborative in nature, as I believe that people are the experts in their own lives. Through therapeutic conversations, together we gain insights, explore possibilities for a better future and set goals for our work together
More Info About My Practice
I believe that we all need someone to talk with who will really listen and accept us as we are, without judgment. I provide my clients with that warm, non-judgmental environment - a safe place to explore issues that may be preventing you from moving forward and living the life you want.
I have two practices: One location in Burien, and the other located in Pioneer Square. I provide services to children (6+), adolescents and adults. I provide individual, couples, and family counseling. I also provide services to individuals with developmental or intellectual delays.
My Role as a Therapist
I believe you already have the inner wisdom and strength that you need to heal; my role is to facilitate the space to help get you there. I provide a safe and supportive environment so we may move through your sufferings together with compassion, and honor your experiences. Together we can explore the places where you feel stuck and concerns that may be keeping you from moving forward or are causing you distress. Through this process, we can hope to heal emotional wounds, create tools for resolving problems and form new meaning and hope for the future
