More Info About My Practice

I have specialized training in Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT), the Gottman Method, and Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT). Additionally, from a Mindfulness therapeutic approach, I help clients improve their emotional well-being by practicing techniques aimed to increase clarity, intuitive growth and the Mind-Body connection. Using an Emotion-Focused approach to therapy (an empirically validated model), EFT is highly effective for relieving distress among couples, reducing symptoms of anxiety and depression, resolving conflict, restoring lines of communication and re-establishing a secure emotional bond.

I'm a fully Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist (LMFT) in the State of Connecticut and Texas, a Board Certified Professional Counselor (BCPC), and is a Certified Family Life Educator (CFLE) endorsed by the National Council on Family Relations (NCFR). I completed my clinical training at the Beaver's Family Studies Center at UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas. I have a Doctorate in Family Therapy from Texas Woman's University, and a Master's in Developmental Psychology, with a specialty in Early Childhood Disorders, from the University of Texas at Dallas.

I am a clinical fellow and member of the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapy (AAMFT), the American Psychotherapy Association (APA), the National Council on Family Relations (NCFR), Texas Association for Marriage and Family Therapy (TAMFT), the Connecticut Association for Marriage and Family Therapy, and the International Society of Mental Health Online (ISMHO).
