My Approach to Helping
I joined the military at 18, and retired after 23 years. I was a single parent for 7 yrs with 2 small children, remarried, and had 3 more children. So I understand the difficulties in blended families, as well as military and single parent families. I know the struggles various life stressors can create. I always told myself when bad things happen; that's okay because now I can help others with this.
Now as a grandma with 3 grandsons, I can look back where I could've used counseling. So I'm in awe of those willing to confront difficulties vs just accepting the status quo. By your deciding to enter the process of counseling, you have the potential to create lifelong rewards!
My way of giving/getting back at life challenges is to assist others with their obstacles. I desire to help people figure out their struggles & have a more rewarding, relaxing life. It's awesome to assist others overcome various challenges & improve relationships by dealing with obstacles, when they interfere with your goals.
I am a National Certified Counselor (NCC). I'm dual licensed: Licensed Associate Marriage & Family Therapist (LAMFT) & Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). I blend your stated individual & applicable family goals, to meet your desired results. I specialize in how these internal states may interfere with your relationships. While we seek out satisfying, healthy relationships, our internal emotions can color how we view & react. I am EMDR & Theophostics trained.
