More Info About My Practice
My mission is to help women and teen girls live the life they desire and work toward acquiring new skills they can apply and refine throughout life.
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the State of Idaho. I have a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Northwest Nazarene University with an emphasis in Grief, Crisis, and Trauma Counseling, and I completed Clinical Hypnotherapy training through The Trauma Training Institute. I hold an additional Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Rhode Island. I am also a trained Trauma Sensitive Yoga instructor with over 500 hours of training in several mind-body modalities.
My therapeutic framework is based on a holistic counseling approach. Holistic counseling is an approach that helps clients to heal by taking the entire human being and their life experiences into consideration for assessment and treatment purposes. It is a type of counseling that assesses and treats from physical and spiritual contexts–as well as psychological or mental ones. Beyond traditional talk therapy, I apply the latest cutting-edge transformative treatment approaches such as meditation practices, mindfulness-based CBT, Somatic therapy, clinical hypnotherapy, or therapeutic/trauma-sensitive yoga in sessions to reset the nervous system and help you gain access to your authentic voice, grounded-ness, and joy.
