My Approach to Helping
Do you feel like you've lost yourself, confused, and questioning your decisions or thoughts? Have you sought pastoral counseling only to find the "advice" seemed to support the abuser, dismiss the abuse, and led to symptoms of anxiety and depression? These feelings are common when you have experienced relational abuse, trauma, narcissistic relationships, and secondary abuse. It takes courage to reach out, seek help and share your story. I work with women and couples who are experiencing relational conflict and trauma. Many of my clients have not felt supported through pastoral counseling or found that conflict intensified.
I have experience working with a variety of concerns including anxiety, depression, trauma, domestic violence, sexual abuse, shame, self-esteem issues, relationship issues, grief and loss. I specialize in Narcissistic Abuse Recovery and Religious Abuse Recovery. I believe we can make an impact together and create what is needed change.
When asking for help, we need to be treated non-judgmentally. We all need support to overcome life's challenges. Moreover, we all need someone that listens compassionately and empathetically. I respect my clients and their unique backgrounds, recognizing that people come from many different ethnic, religious, cultural, and socioeconomic backgrounds.
