More Info About My Practice

Counseling is a powerful asset for helping you reach your individualized goals and work through difficult issues. I may not be able to solve all of your problems, but I can promise you will not have to face them alone.

My Role as a Therapist

I am not interested in telling you what to do with your life or completely changing who you are as a person. My role as a therapist is to help guide and facilitate change collaboratively with the individual through support, encouragement, and the use of various therapeutic interventions. I'm going to teach you new skills and techniques that are going to feel strange and unnatural at times, but trust me, with practice it will eventually become second nature! A willingness to try alongside following through with recommendations outside of our sessions is all that is needed.

Importance of the Client-Therapist Alliance

Our therapeutic relationship is the most important part of beginning psychotherapy. This is essentially the trust that is formed between a therapist and client. Our relationship together is the best predictor of treatment outcome and essential to the success a client experiences. Collaboratively, we will develop a relationship bond, agree on therapeutic goals, and have a united consensus on treatment objectives. I pride myself on remaining authentic and committed to the care of my clients!
