My Approach to Helping
It is difficult to reach out for therapy when feeling stuck or down or anxious or possibly not in the mood to speak with a stranger. But I make every effort to be gentle and non-judgemental in my approach and in my initial free phone consultation. Change does not always come quickly and it is not a linear process, but in working with adults and couples I have seen transformative change. I am along for the journey to support you and help underline key patterns - help connect the dots, or possibly bring into awareness that which is out of awareness. Many people experience mood difficulties (sadness, fear, loss, anger) through a perceived narrowing of possibilities and my hope is that together we can expand outwards to create space for a more joyful existence through an understanding of the self. I primarily use a psychodynamic, creative approach to help you find greater self-compassion and clarity that will allow you to feel more confident in your ability to change and heal.
