My Approach to Helping
Are you looking for therapy that will guide you in finding the route of what is keeping you "stuck"? Are you wanting to experience more peace in your life? This is what Sophia hopes for every client she serves. She understands where your struggles come from and how to work through them. Sophia prides herself on creating a safe, supportive, and non-judgmental environment for her clients. She fully believes that our struggles are not who we are authentically.
Sophia uses an integrative approach. She understands the nervous system and how to identify what the nervous system needs to regulate. So, not only is your brain processing during your sessions, the connection between your body and mind is reconnecting. This, often, makes the "work" you do more effective.

My View on the Purpose of Psychotherapy
I once heard another therapist ask her client "Would you want to do surgery on yourself?". This made sense to me. I, like many of my clients, tend to manage life with this idea that we can just figure it out on our own. However, there comes a time when life just gets too much and the likelihood that our past experiences are impacting how we are managing life today is high. I know that untangling the pieces, so to say, helped me in this journey called life, and I simply could not have done that surgery on my own. - Sophia
