My Approach to Helping
The counseling relationship creates an opportunity to be seen, heard, and known. It takes courage to begin telling your story and I hope to create a space that feels inviting and safe. My counseling style is relational, relaxed, honest, playful, and compassionate.
I believe good therapists have gone before their clients and also done hard work in therapy themselves. So I know what it's like to be a client! I have experienced the pain of exploring hard places and the joy of healing and growth.

For those who want to explore issues from a spiritual perspective, I am also able to provide Gospel-centered counseling.
Had a Negative Therapy Experience?
If you've tried therapy before and are feel hesitant or discouraged about trying again, I understand! I, too, have had negative therapy experiences! Consider taking a risk and coming to talk with me about your experience. I want to understand what was negative, hard, or upsetting and see if we can work together to make sure your therapy experience is positive.
How My Own Struggles Made Me a Better Therapist
I've done a lot of my own work in therapy and relate first and foremost to my clients as fellow human beings. We are all broken and we all have our own stories of harm and shame. My goal is not to be a distant expert professional, but one who can journey alongside, providing insight, curiosity, and observation.
