My Approach to Helping
My passion is working with others, especially those who feel damaged and stuck with their pain from past experiences.
Furthermore, I have worked with individuals from many cultural, ethnic, and religious backgrounds, and I have a deep understanding of the added challenges that upbringing and identity may present post or pre-trauma.
All of our stories matter, despite what we may have been led to believe. Above all, we are all worthy of health, love, connection, and fulfilling lives. Therefore, you can expect respect, compassion, and understanding from me, knowing that I will do all I can to assist with your healing, during our time together.
More Info About My Practice
At Resilient Journey Counseling, I provide both individual and group therapy sessions that may facilitate mental and emotional healing. My goal is for you to feel welcomed, accepted, and able to work through what weighs you down.
I received my master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Southern California. I’ve worked with vulnerable populations including the homeless, dual diagnosis individuals suffering from substance abuse, and mental illness. I have also worked with families in the foster care system and adoptions setting. I have worked in community clinics where I assisted individuals suffering from severe trauma, complex trauma, grief and loss, anxiety, PTSD, and depression.
My approach is to create a safe and comfortable space so you can feel free to talk about your most intimate stories and experiences. One of my goals is to help clarify and come up with solutions, and clarity for your troubles at hand. I believe it is my life’s work to assist others in overcoming trauma, as I have myself, by providing real-life perspectives, understanding, and experience. I know firsthand how difficult it can be to seek help with our most intimate struggles; however, I also know that healing is possible.
