My Approach to Helping
My goal as your therapist is to create a collaborative space where we explore and identify your concerns, your goals, your strengths, as well as the barriers that might get in the way. Due to my training, I make space for the ways in which gender norms, familycultural expectations, and race-related experiences may also be impacting your stress and everyday experiences.
I would describe my approach as client-centered, collaborative, flexible, and empathetic. I value your experiences, goals, and the unique history that you bring into the therapy room. In order to help you meet your goals, I prioritize creating an environment where you can feel safe and comfortable enough to explore your concerns and create a realistic and actionable plan to help you build the life you want to lead. This process can often include leveraging your strengths and identifying possible patterns that might be getting in the way of your growth so that we can develop more adaptive ways to manage stress.
