My Approach to Helping
I am an enthusiastic and engaging licensed clinical social worker (LCSW-C) with a passion for deep, philosophical discussions about meaning and purpose. I take a solution-focused approach to therapy, emphasizing both self-exploration and the development of practical coping skills. Therapy with me is not just about talking—it’s about actively building tools to help clients manage emotions, improve relationships, and create meaningful change in their lives. I enjoy teaching coping strategies that empower individuals to handle life’s stressors with greater confidence and resilience.
I have worked in various clinical settings, providing care to individuals, children, and families. My experience includes working with clients facing emotional dysregulation, trauma, and relational challenges. I currently focus on supporting adults in regulating their emotions and strengthening their ability to cope with life’s difficulties.
My therapeutic approach is grounded in evidence-based practices, and I am trained in:
- comprehensive dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT)
- cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT)
- Parenting through Change–Reunification (PTC-R)
- family-centered treatment (FCT)
- motivational interviewing
- trauma therapy
- Gottman Method
- cognitive processing therapy (CPT)
- acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT)
I am committed to fostering a compassionate, supportive, and goal-oriented therapeutic environment where individuals can explore their experiences, gain insight, and develop practical strategies for long-term well-being.
