My Approach to Helping

I've been a psychotherapist for 25 years. What I have found to be most important in my work is my belief in the individuals I work with. No matter what someone is going through, they come to therapy to understand themselves and their predicament; to alleviate suffering; to find meaning and purpose; and most of all, to feel better. When treated with sincere respect and authentic caring, a person can begin to feel better, and when that starts happening, meaning is cultivated, and choices are made toward growth and healing. I have so much gratitude that I get to witness this transformation. It is a true joy.
