My Approach to Helping

I help people with difficult or painful experiences find joy again. Feelings hopeless and isolated? Lets give you the skills to change your life.

When you have been through painful experiences like emotional abuse or physical attacks it can feel like it is hopeless to try to change. Threw therapy we help you understand you. We start to explore the part of you that has been radiating pain and recognize with has caused these feelings. From there we can build the tools we need to heal that wound and show you a different way to live.

More Info About My Practice

Our work in therapy will use a variety of tools that I have cultivated through my training and years of experience. Not every tool fits each person so I work with you to determine what the right fit is for you. My goal is for us to work collaboratively to understand your needs so well that by the end you will have a quick and helpful reaction to any situation.

For the past 10 years I have been focusing my work on helping people with difficult pasts, traumas, painful childhood experiences, feelings of grief and loss, and feelings of community isolation. Experiences that make a person feel unsafe in their everyday lives. I have attended doctoral level trainings to determine how best to help create that change to a joyful life.

I provide an empathetic, caring and insightful experience to help you feel safe to explore your world and gain the resilience you need. My work is non-judgemental and helps you cultivate a peaceful mind because a mind at peace is a mind open to joy.

My Guiding Ethical Principles

When we have painful or confusing experiences our mind can become stuck. We can have a hard time determining when we are safe and we start to see the world as a dangerous or aggressive place. We do this to keep ourselves safe from future danger. But what about when the danger is gone? How can we learn to trust again, to love again? Through this work we give you the eyes to see the world in a new and better way.

It is my belief that world change starts with individual self-love. My hope is that by giving you the skills to change yourself I am helping give the world one more person that knows the benefits that caring and love can give. Change must start from the inside. Because it is only when we love ourselves that we can start to share that love with our community at large.
