My Approach to Helping

Life can be difficult and, at times, overwhelming. How can I help you to help yourself get your individual life or marriage back on track? Have you experienced an early-in-life trauma or recent trauma? Are you unhappy in your relationship with a significant other?
Do you lack motivation or courage to make a change in your life?
You have all that you need inside yourself to succeed in making any changes that you want to make, to develop good interpersonal and relationship skills, and to leave the past behind where it belongs. We will work together collaboratively to help you reach whatever goal or goals you set for yourself. Personal work is not a stigma; it is saying that you are ready for a different and better life.

More Info About My Practice

I am certified in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing). Many who have recent or past trauma benefit from this very well-researched and valid therapeutic method.

I also have good skills working with individuals and couples who are working toward improvement in their relationships or to work toward a more positive future.

My View on the Purpose of Psychotherapy

Changes in life always involve a loss of some kind. Whether it is loss of a loved one, a job, our youth, our health, a relationship, a secure home, or anything similar, we may find it difficult to feel calm or secure. I have a real passion for working with those going through real or perceived losses. I also work well with men and women who have suffered any form of abuse (emotional, verbal, physical, sexual, spiritual, financial). I am certified in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing.
