My Approach to Helping
I am a master's level licensed therapist with a dual degree in Counseling and Art Therapy. I specialize in working with clients with Trauma, PTSD or C-PTSD, addictions, and clients in the LGBTQIA+ community including those transitioning. I have also worked with clients with special needs such as ADHD, intellectual disability, and on the autism spectrum. I am a poly and kink friendly, knowledgeable therapist and am trained as a multiculturally respectful clinician. I am a Therapist and an Art Therapist and can incorporate Art Therapy both in person and via telehealth.
I have previously worked with a methadone clinic, an inpatient mental health hospital, a women's shelter, a community outreach program, and with Little City Foundation. I earned an undergraduate degree in Psychology from University of Illinois at Chicago, and a graduate degree in Counseling and Art Therapy from Adler University.
I bring a wide background of approaches to help clients overcome what life has dealt, to find a path together. In therapy, I use a Person-Centered approach of listening combined with a structured style of teaching new skills to guide clients to the life they're seeking. I draw from EFT, DBT, Exposure Therapy, Seeking Safety, and mindfulness.
If you are seeking change but aren't sure how to get there, I am ready to help you find your path.
