My Approach to Helping
“Courage is not the absence of fear, but rather the assessment that something else is more important than fear.” – F. D. Roosevelt. I know how much courage it takes for some to come to therapy. I admire you for taking this brave step and deciding that despite the fear of the unknown, it is more important that something needs to change. I am here to help you take this next step and help you in which ever way you want and need it. I will work to create an environment where you can be comfortable and feel safe to work on aspects of yourself and your life that you would not touch elsewhere. I am excited to meet you!
My treatment approaches include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Object Relations, Humanistic, Narrative therapy, EMDR techniques, and Motivational Interviewing. I have worked with adolescents, the LGBTQ+ population, as well as individuals and couples with issues including depression, anxiety, self-esteem, infidelity, trauma, abuse, co-dependency, addictionAA.
My goal is to create a relationship with you that's based on honesty and genuine compassion. I believe every person is amazing in their own way and deserves love, kindness, and happiness. I became a therapist because I truly believe in the positive impact therapy can have on a person’s life and I want to share this gift with you if you are willing to try it.
