My Approach to Helping
I enjoy helping couples and individuals heal from old pain, create lives they love, and manage anxiety, stress, and life transitions. I accept each client, varying my style to meet your needs. I may listen and support you, ask challenging questions, or offer direction to move forward. I incorporate mindfulness principles to help my clients connect with and regulate their emotions.
I devote half of my practice to work with couples. I specialize in work with high-conflict couples, using principles of DBT. More broadly, I aim to improve relationships using the research-backed approach developed by the Gottmans.
I also have training in EMDR, a research-supported treatment for trauma, which I use to help my clients recover from trauma. This treatment also works well for people who struggle with addiction, procrastination, and other behaviors they'd like to change.
