My Approach to Helping
When people find themselves suffering from debilitating mental illnesses andor dual diagnosis, they often find themselves feeling lost without knowing who to turn to for help and understanding. I am very passionate regarding helping people deal with negative experiences or traumatic stressors which can alter one’s life functioning. I have spent my career thus far assisting members of our community with finding a worthwhile balance in their lives, regardless of the exact origin or combinations of causes that lead to stressful experiences.
My core modality is CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy). CBT has a very good efficacy rating in terms of treating individuals, couples, andor adolescents. Although I have found a high degree of success treating clients suffering from a range of issues and maladaptive behaviors, no single approach will be effective in all cases. To that end, I have further training with emphasis on Clinical Psychology, interdisciplinary Studies, and Child and Adolescent Psychology.
I have a Bachelor of Psychology degree (Ashford University), Associate Degree (Southwest College), Master’s Clinical Psychology, Specialization Marriage and Family Therapy, and Associate of Science Psychology (Southwest College).
