You are a complete person, a growing organism who "knows" on some level what you need in order to thrive, and can find the way to your own truth. My role is to provide a safe and accepting space and time in which that growth may take place and providing witness and company for you as you heal and grow. The therapy session is a sacred time for you to explore that healing. You can consider the choices you have made and perhaps notice choices that hadn't occurred to you. This process can appear daunting, but you needn't feel alone as you proceed.

I believe in closely listening to the needs of each client so I can support him or her on a healing journey. We each have the ability to grow in healthy ways, and therapy allows us to tap into that ability. We all need help from time to time so we can see the impediments to our health growth in a new way, or find strength to change. Therapy is your journey; my role is to accompany you and keep you safe. My training and experience have taught me to help you navigate life's treacherous waters. My integrity, warmth, intelligence, and humor are all key components of my work as a therapist.

Counselors: These truths are central to my supervision of graduate professional counselors as well. I use all my experience and my learning to reinforce your strengths and to examine areas in which you feel shaky. I will use the roles of teacher, counselor and colleague as we examine your practice.
