I am a traumatic grief counselor, trained in trauma therapy and focused on grief. If you are struggling with the death of someone you love, or have old losses that are causing you pain today, grief therapy may be for you. Losses of all kinds can leave you feeling adrift and uncertain. When we don't tend to these feelings, we sow seeds for anxiety, depression, and unhealthy behaviors. Grief therapy can help guide you through the process of mourning and into a life of healing, purpose, and joy.

More Info About My Practice

I am certified by the EMDR International Association to provide Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing. This empirically proven treatment, recommended by the World Health Organization for the treatment of trauma, can help alleviate the negative symptoms associated with traumatic events. I also offer EMDR consultation for therapists.

I am a registered yoga teacher and long-time meditator. I occasionally incorporate relaxation training, meditation, guided imagery, and expressive arts where appropriate. I talk about yoga, but don't offer that in session.

I am certified to facilitate The Daring Way, a program designed by Dr. Brene Brown to help people build resiliency to the feeling of shame and move toward closer, more authentic connections. I offer an ongoing Daring Women's group that focuses on her work.

With advanced notice, I have access to a beautiful, accessible office space.
