My Approach to Helping
I have been a psychologist in private practice for over 17 years. I earned a B.A. in Psychology (summa cum laude), an M.A. in Psychology, and my Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (PsyD). I also earned an M.B.A. in Medical and Health Service Administration.
My clinical practice began in the quiet village of Saint Peter’s in northern Chester County and expanded quickly into my primary office in the center of West Chester.
Many of my clients are referrals from family or friends who have benefitted from my services. I also receive referrals from local schools & colleges, physicians, businesses, pastors, special needs oriented communities, attorneys, etc. My West Chester office is close to the university and directly adjacent to the Justice Center. I am well specialized in helping individuals stabilize their emotions and cope with the stress of legal proceedings such as divorce.
My approach is supportive yet confrontational. My clientele draws from all ages, cultures, and backgrounds with issues ranging from goal-oriented self-improvement and enhanced relationships to more severe illnesses including depression, bipolar disorder, and personality disorders. My MBA is an asset in my ability to understand and help individuals with extreme stress related to either employment or entrepreneurial pressures. In general, helping people navigate extreme transitions and promoting healthy relationships are my strong specialties.
