My Approach to Helping
I understand that everyone has their own unique struggles and no two concerns are alike. I can help by guide you on the path to resilience and emotional well-being. I use a combination of talk therapy, coping skills, EMDR, and with younger clients play therapy and expressive arts. I believe that my clients benefit from a supportive, non-judgmental environment to facilitate their inner strengths and resources. I can walk with you on your journey to find deeper meaning, resolution and healing.
More Info About My Practice
I work in a small private practice office in Shoreview, just north of St. Paul. We are located on the first floor- walk in the side door (near the front-side parking) and take an immediate right inside. Our waiting room is set up to be a calming space, with pleasant sounds, smells and assorted beverages.
On the Fence About Going to Therapy?
Therapy can be a bit intimidating at first and there are many things to consider. You may be concerned about time, distance and the cost of therapy. I often start seeing new clients once every 1-2 weeks depending on the main concerns, and then less frequently as things improve. I'm available for in person and video sessions, which makes it convenient to have appointments from home or work. Therapy is a worthwhile investment in yourself to focus on you and what you want to accomplish. I recommend finding a therapist who is a good fit for you and your concerns.
