My Approach to Helping
I offer my clients a collaborative, genuine, and warm style. I aim to help my clients develop self-awareness and nurture change using interventions tailored to each client's needs. I frequently use cognitive-behavioral therapy to help clients struggling with issues such as depression and anxiety. This approach enables clients to grasp the connections between their feelings, thoughts, and behaviors, making it possible for them to create more balanced relationships with themselves and others.
As a psychodynamic therapist, I prioritize the role of the past, and work to bring into awareness how a client's past affects who she or he is today. I use this awareness to help clients develop future goals. I also use relational therapy to help my clients explore their relationship dynamics and to understand how interactional patterns and communication styles affect these relationships. I'm committed to building a strong therapeutic alliance with my clients, and always welcome feedback about how I can more effectively serve my clients' needs.
