I have experience working with clients experiencing depression, anxiety, substance abuse, divorce, relationship and/or family issues.
Sometimes we believe that in order to be happy, we must struggle to overcome a long list of personal or situational flaws. I will help you discover that peace and well being is available to you now as we work together towards the changes you want to make.
As in traditional psychotherapy, I use reflective listening supported by cognitive behavioral and psychodynamic therapies. I also bring a PsychoSpiritual (not religious) perspective to counseling.

More Info About My Practice

In addition to my training in psychology, I hold a masters degree in administrative studies and have over 20 years of experience in corporate settings. Clients have often found this as a helpful resource when dealing with challenges at work or for those seeking career counseling.

My View on the Purpose of Psychotherapy

The most important aspect of effective therapy requires the patient and the therapist work collaboratively, build trust, and establish a non-judgmental space to work together.

My Therapy Focus

My approach to therapy is based on the client's needs. You may need briefer supportive counseling to focus on your present and future goals, longer-term therapy to explore issues from the past or something that falls in between.

A qualified therapist helps those in treatment determine the skills, resources, and abilities needed to achieve a greater sense of well being.
