My Approach to Helping
It can be hard to take steps to take care of yourself or your family. Sometimes we are so used to patterns or behaviors that no longer serve our needs. Therapy can be the first step to recognizing and changing patterns of behaviors that no longer work for you or your family. My approach is strength based, and grounded in ongoing compassion for oneself and others.
As a Child and Family Therapist, I strongly believe the connection is the best way to progress in healing and changing unhealthy behaviors. As a family therapist and play therapist, I work with each family member to meet them where they are at, with the goal being to support each individual.
I am a Child Mental Health Specialist. I am a trained in Autoplay (a play therapy specializing in treating kids with Autism) and other neuro-developmental diagnoses. I am a trained Incredible Years provider and love working with parents and children to solve ongoing hardships or conflicts that arise while children develop and parents grow.
