My Approach to Helping

I found myself constantly thinking about my identity and what my purpose was in this world. I would ask questions, read books, listen to podcast, you name it! Yet, I was still feeling stuck and felt as if I would never truly understand what I needed to do to understand more about who I was and what my intention was. Then it hit me… I would never truly know!

I realized I was living a life of repetitive action and not living through intention. I then shifted my focus to finding my peace and left the unknown at ease. I could find my peace though personal intention – by being purposeful in my daily living. However, it doesn’t stop there. Being intentionally mindful is a practice and a skill that we have to continue to work on throughout our lives. Finding out how to do so was my next mission!

Intentional Simplicity, LLC is a Wellness based practice that focuses on who you are, and how your mind works. The practice incorporates four key components of identity: wellness, psychology, mindfulness, and creative expression.

Intentional Simplicity, LLC will include personal expression, videos, stories, narratives, adventures, advice, quotes, books, and much more to help you gather tools to understand more about your self and the relationships around you.

It is important that you stay open and willing to the process! I am excited to start this journey with you!

With intention,

Sarafina

More Info About My Practice

As a therapist, I have come to understand that people strive to be heard and to share their perspective on the world. With this, I open the space for people to gain an understanding of their purpose, themselves, and the world around them. When working with others, I focus on the exploration and interpersonal relationship building. I explore how self-expression through a variety of virtuosity mediums merges with my client’s identity. I create a space that capitalizes on diversity and meets the needs of clients by offering a variety of interventions and therapeutic techniques. I find value in encouraging people to develop their identity. I challenge my clients by emboldening them to question things when they are skeptical or researching when they need more understanding. I support their journey while also instilling an atmosphere of set expectations so personal growth cannot only be pursued but also achieved. I foster this by encouraging them to place themselves in an environment outside of the therapeutic space where they can build individuation and self-expression. I do not present as all-knowing, or an expert on life, however, I offer a space of credibility. I am skilled in several theoretical orientations, multicultural competencies, creative expressions, and counseling techniques. I hold a psychology master’s degree from Carlow University. I have also taken several masters level Art Therapy courses to support my journey as a therapist. I incorporate positive psychology, art, wellness, and mindbodywork while working with clients. I strive to be authentic and genuine with each of my clients by offering interventions through a person-centered lens.If you would like to know more about the services I offer, please feel free to reach out! I look forward to hearing from you!
