My Approach to Helping
We can all use some support at some point in our lives. Whether we are going through a life transition, experiencing the loss of something meaningful to us, or simply feeling stagnant in life, just to name a few. Sometimes, the hardest part is recognizing we need support or realizing that it is okay not to do it alone. If you are reading this, you are likely contemplating getting that support or may be ready to start that journey. Either way it is a first step. That is great!
My goal as a therapist is to assist the person I am working with to navigate emotions or behaviors that they may want to better understand or change. I like to look at the whole person, their environment, and systems. I believe it’s pivotal to explore all these areas to better understand the distress they are experiencing. I strongly believe that all individuals are much more than the symptoms they are experiencing. Given that every client is different, I like to implement a variety of modalities based on the client’s needs. My number one priority is to ensure that the client feels safe and ultimately empowered.
What I enjoy most about being in this field is bearing witness to a client’s journey of self-discovery. I am humbled and honored to support them by exploring tools that could best empower them.
