My Approach to Helping

Helping others has been a life-long dream of mine. A life of service to others is fulfilling and uplifting. In all of our lives we face situations that are difficult and sometimes "impossible" to conquer. But, with the proper treatment and care, most of these issues can be overcome.

This is not to say that therapy is easy and does not take a great deal of work, but the rewards are normally so much greater than the work we have put into the therapy.

Addiction of any kind, alcohol, drugs, pornography, is one of the issues that is changing our world today. There are over 70 million people currently dealing with some type of addiction, but the good news is it can be treated. With a sincere desire to be free from addiction and a reason to save yourself and your family, together we can help you with your addiction. Part of my education was spent specifically learning how to assist those with addictions.

Low self-esteem and depression play a major role in the lives of all of us. These are both exacerbated by social media, constant attention to what others have or do, and unrealistic expectations that we see on television and the web daily. Life can be full of disappointments, but it is what we do with those disappointments that can help us through.

Family issues, when they arise, are difficult. These can be dealt with by many different methods, depending on the issue. If we can get the problem out in the open, then we can usually conquer it.

I would love to have the opportunity to assist you with any of these issues.

My Role as a Therapist

My role as your therapist will be to lead and guide you to your own decisions regarding your specific. We will work together to have an understanding of our treatment goals, and we will work toward those goals until they are accomplished. As we get into therapy, some of the treatment goals may change, but that is normal in the practice of psychotherapy.

Some people believe that anyone who goes to a therapist is weak or flawed. Actually, individuals who seek treatment are the strong ones. They are the ones who can face their problems and work through them, while others may not be willing to do so.
