My Approach to Helping
If you are looking at my profile, you are hurting and you want help - NOW! I can most likely see you within the next three business days. I will work with you to identify your strengths to help you build confidence in your ability to solve your own problems. We will also work together to increase your problem-solving skills. We will utilize humor in our discussions (sometimes you just have to laugh at what life hands out), and I will be your "cheerleader" as you make progress. You want to restore hope that your life problems can be solved and that you can move forward. That will be our goal. Yes, I have a masters degree in Counseling Psychology -- lots of professional training as well -- but I also have a lot of life experience to draw on to help with practical issues. You are only a phone call away from help. Please call me. If I don't answer you, please don't just hang up -- leave me a message and I will get back to you just as soon as possible.

You can see pictures of my office on my Facebook page: Sandra L. Fournier, MA, LMFT, PLLC. My receptionists will great you and make you comfortable. They, too, understand that meeting with a new counselor for the first time can feel a bit awkward. We are all here to help you.
On the Fence About Going to Therapy?
I offer a free 20-minute in-person, or phone consultation so that you can "meet" me and determine your level of comfort speaking with me and so you can ask me questions as to how I might be able to help you. Just call me, at 86-846-6149, to schedule this.
The Duration and Frequency of Therapy
The length of therapy is, of course, different for each person, and for her/his particular issue. At our second session, we will lay out a "Life Improvement Plan" that will outline seven stages of the therapy and my estimate of how many sessions will be needed for each stage. This way, you will have a pretty good estimate of the length of time and the cost.
