My Approach to Helping
Are you feeling overwhelmed or trapped? Do you feel as though no one understands what you are going through? Consider this: no matter your life circumstances, you can find a sense of hope and calmness! In an open and sensitive environment, I will help guide you to find the compassion and courage that is innate in you and lead you to a more peaceful and fulfilling life.
I love working with children, teens and young adults with a focus on healing and managing painful emotions. I can help you work through difficult life events and unhealthy behaviors. Dealing with a divorce, bullying, anger, self-esteem and loneliness are all potential areas of focus for counseling.
More Info About My Practice
I practice from an Internal Family Systems and Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy approach. Had a Negative Therapy Experience?
The client-therapist relationship is the most influential factor on a client's ability to make progress. Every therapist has a different approach and brings to session their unique experiences, insight and personality. It only makes sense that not every therapist will be the 'right fit' for you. I know (from personal experience as a client) that having a negative experience with a therapist after finding the motivation to reach out in the first place can be disheartening, but please don't let that be the reason you give up on yourself.
How My Own Struggles Made Me a Better Therapist
I have been front row and center for the transformation that is possible with the guidance and support of a therapist. After years of struggling to find love and acceptance for myself, I found a therapist who helped me unlock the compassion and light that had been inside of me all along. This experience has given me faith that each of my clients will find what they have been looking for when they are ready.
