My Approach to Helping
At some point in our life, we all experience a destabilizing event. For some, these destabilizingtraumatic events (such as sexual abuse, domestic violence, death of a loved one) are manageable and symptoms typically subside without disrupting any other areas of life. However, for others, such destabilizing events can have long-term consequences and impact some or all areas of their life. For these individuals, resiliency can be rebuild by acquiring the right tools to overcome these internal and external conflicts.
I believe that in order to overcome your internal and external conflicts, thoughts, feelings, and actions have to be explored. My primary treatment modality is cognitive behavioral therapy combined with the best available research and clinical expertise. I am certified in prolonged exposure (PE) and Trauma focused cognitive behavioral therapy (TF-CBT)
