My Approach to Helping
I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC) with over fifteen years of experienced in the mental health arena. As a LCMHC, I am experienced in providing mental health services to individuals, families, and groups to address environmental, economic, social, and cultural needs. I obtained my Masters’ degree in Counselor Education from East Carolina University in 2019 and I also hold a master’s degree in human services. In addition, I am a Trauma Focused Therapist, and a Licensed Ordained Minister, under the New Faith Deliverance Holiness Ministries located in Greenville, North Carolina. My clinical work experience includes working with children, adolescents, young adults, couples, families and group therapy.
Treatment approaches I ascribes to are Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy, DBT, Brief Solution Focused Therapy, and Family Systems Therapy. In addition to traditional counseling techniques, I also incorporate faith-based counseling to guide individuals on their paths to emotional, mental, education, and career wellness.
I firmly believes that with the help of God, I can bring about remarkable change in the lives of others; knowing that God can see what I cannot see and go where I cannot go, to bring about extraordinary change in one's life. However, incorporating spirituality is an individual choice that will only be incorporated if so desired by the client.
