My Approach to Helping
I am here to serve you in your healing journey from my own embodied wisdom, training & skills.
Before I began facilitating healing for others, I spent years dedicated to my own healing. I experienced severe & complex trauma as a child and teenager that resulted in various forms of dis-ease in my early adulthood (depression; anxiety; eating disorders; attachment issues). I tried talking therapies and although I could understand what had happened in my mind I could not feel it in my body. Then I decided it was time to try some different therapy options.
Over the past 12 years my personal healing journey has included: Art Therapy; Yoga; Vipassana Meditation Retreats; Gestalt Therapy; EMDR; Menstrual Cycle awareness & lifestyle; Somatic Experiencing; Feminine Embodiment; Shamanic Healing & plant medicines.
Although this journey felt uncomfortable at times as I felt & released pain, I also expanded my capacity to feel pleasure. I started to feel more me. It was like I was meeting my authentic self for the first time. As though I could see in colour again after a long time of only seeing in black & white.
I now live a vibrant, embodied life and I want everyone to feel this way. To feel safe. To feel Authentic. To feel free.
I activate your own healing capacity and shine a light when you can not see. I do not teach you anything you do not already know: I just have the tools to enable you to remember who you really are.
I am a highly skilled, professional & accredited Art & Somatic Therapist (MSc) registered with HCPC. I have been practicing for 7 years as a Therapist & Yoga Guide. I am trained in Trauma Therapy (Somatic Experiencing); Reiki healing & I have been teaching Yoga for 7 years (700hr).
