My Approach to Helping
Hello, and thanks for checking out my page! I am a queer-identified therapist and welcome all intersections of identity in my feminist-based practice. I use interventions based in neurobiology to promote growth and healing, and would be honored to support you in your therapy goals. Though I have training and experience to treat a variety of concerns, I believe that you are the ultimate expert on your own life.
My clients often are overwhelmed with feelings of inadequacy. Together, we'll help you tap into your own values and beliefs to help you realize that you ARE enough, just as you are. I use an eclectic variety of approaches including: mindfulness, self-compassion, existential therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) to support folks in healing from anxiety, trauma, and substance use concerns.
I specialize in working with professionals who work in the technology, computer science, web development, and programming industries of all backgrounds with burnout, isolation, anxiety, exclusion, imposter syndrome, substance use, and other concerns. I also enjoy supporting self-motivated high schoolers struggling with anxiety and or identity issues, and their families. Wherever you are, you are deserving of this journey to become your best self.
